We admittedly have a soft spot for old homes. We love embracing all their character, charm, and stories, while welcoming them into their modern life. This bungalow was no exception. This family wanted something unexpected and bold with a fun retro feel as well. First, we opened up the kitchen to make the home more practical for everyday living and entertaining. Then we added a bold wallpaper, tile, and brass fixtures to bring the space alive. The bathroom wasn’t functioning well with the location of a claw foot tub, so we removed it, added a shower and carried our blue palette into the space. We completed it with tile that juxtaposed modern lines with a scale and pattern that compliments the historic architecture.
